3 things to know for April 26: Baseball, Track Meet, Josh Horner

1. Baseball Wins, 13-12

Offense was the name of the game on Monday at Deer Lakes High School as the Lancers overcame two big deficits and defeated the Trojans 13-12 in baseball action. The game featured 25 runs and 21 hits between the two combatants.  DA is now (6-3) overall and (3-2) in section play   They host the Lancers on TODAY at Grandview Field. Game time is 4:00.

2. Section-Deciding Meet

The Derry Area Track & Field team will take on section-rivals Burrell and Ligonier Valley in a huge double-dual meet today at Trojan Stadium with playoff implications.

The boys are fighting for a playoff spot while the girls are going for a section championship. Senior recognition will occur around 3:40, meet time is slated for 4:00 PM.

3. Josh Horner

May 5th will be an exciting day for the high school! Josh Horner will be visiting us in the morning to give an inspirational message. The Kona Ice truck will be available to complement your school lunch. We will have various outside activities for you to enjoy the rest of the day. If we have rain, the outdoor activities will be rescheduled for May 13th.

Activities are free but bring your change to spend on optional events like pie in the face contest and other optional purchases!
