3 things to know for March 8: Spring Fling, Italian Scholarship, Globetrotters

1. Spring Fling

there will be a Spring Fling dance March 12th in the High School gym from 7-10pm. This will be a semi-formal event. Tickets are $5 and will be on sale from March 7-11 in Mrs. Bushey’s room F312.

2. Italian Scholarship

The Pittsburgh Italian Scholarship Fund, due by April 15, is worth $16,000  ($4,000 a year).

The recipient must demonstrate excellent academic performance, financial need​and at least one parent must be of Italian heritage.

3. Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Wizards are back!!  On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, the Harlem Wizards are playing a basketball game vs. The Trojan Empire at 7:00 in the High School Gymnasium.

(CNN) – Florida’s state Senate is set to consider the “Don’t Say Gay” bill this week amid a wave of student protests and walkouts. The bill would effectively ban grades K-3 teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity in classrooms for young students.
