Thanksgiving is approaching, but it seems like people transition from Halloween to Christmas, forgetting about Thanksgiving altogether.
There are so many great things about Thanksgiving; here are some of my favorites.
One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is the delicious food. On Thanksgiving, most people prepare a nice big feast consisting of a main meat, usually turkey, and a variety of sides. Some of the most popular sides include mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, green bean casserole, buttery rolls, yams, and, of course, freshly baked pumpkin pies.
What’s even better is that after the meal, there are tons of leftovers for days to come.
Another favorite thing of mine is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Millions of people, including me, wake up and sit down to watch the marvelous parade consisting of giant balloons of people’s favorite characters, including Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, Charlie Brown, the Pillsbury Doughboy, and even more. It’s very entertaining to watch the parade and all of the creative floats that are designed.
What makes the parade even better is that there are new balloons and floats every year, so you never know what you’re in for.
The next one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is spending time with family. I am very fortunate that I get to see a lot of my family on Thanksgiving to sit down and have a meal together. Some great things about seeing family on Thanksgiving are traditions. Some families break the wishbone on Thanksgiving day, while others gather around and watch football. My family has a lot of football fans, so we all watch football every Thanksgiving, and I love the atmosphere whenever a football game is on.
Finally, my favorite thing about Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving episodes of all of my favorite shows. I love watching holiday episodes all throughout the month of November with my family. My top shows to watch Thanksgiving episodes for are Friends, The Office, and Bob’s Burgers.
Even though I watch the same episodes every single year, I will never stop my tradition of watching those familiar episodes.
Overall, Thanksgiving definitely has a lot of positives and should not be overlooked just because Christmas is right around the corner.
As the festive season unfolds, let’s not overlook the richness of Thanksgiving, a month dedicated to expressing gratitude and savoring cherished moments with loved ones.
