The Five Most Common Dreams and Their Meanings

Dream+Interpretations

The other day I was watching American Horror Story when one character experienced odd dreams and sleepwalking.  It got me thinking about some of the dreams I frequently have, and I wanted to know what some of the most common dreams actually meant.

The most recent one I had was about flying.  what I learned was that, I need to take some risk and follow my dreams.

Here are the five most common dreams and their meanings for your perusal:

FALLING

Falling in a dream, whether it be from the sky or a rooftop, often means that something in your life is not going the way you’d like it to.  If you have this reoccurring dream, you may need to consider confronting the issue in your life.

BEING CHASED

Being chased in a dream can mean that you are trying to avoid something.  If you are being chased by an animal, it can mean that you are avoiding a task or procrastinating on a project.  However, if you are being chased by a human or an unknown figure, it can mean that you are trying to avoid something within you, such as trauma and fear.

FLYING

Flying in a dream can mean that you have a desire to flee from the realities of life.  Maybe you are thinking of taking a risk or following a dream you didn’t think was possible.

BEING NAKED IN PUBLIC

Being naked in a dream could mean that you are afraid of revealing your imperfections to the world.  It could be caused by insecurity about how you look or keeping secrets you are afraid will get out.

LOSING TEETH

A dream about losing your teeth means that you are deeply embarrassed about something.  Sometimes it’s an embarrassment of what you look like, and other times its an embarrassment of something you said or did in the past.

We’ve all had at least one of these dreams, and it’s good to keep in tune with your mind and know what it’s trying to tell you.  Maybe your mind is indirectly giving you some helpful advice.
