Resident of Clearfield Township charged with murder in connection to alleged drug poisoning death

A 70-year-old man from Clearfield Township has been charged with murder following the discovery of a woman’s death caused by drug poisoning in October.

Sloan Dale Hanson is facing several felony charges, including third-degree murder, drug delivery resulting in death, intent to deliver substances, and involuntary manslaughter. This information was announced in a news release issued by state police on Thursday, January 23.

Kimberly Ray’s life came to a tragic end on October 9th. Her body was discovered at a location where investigators had gathered suspected drugs and paraphernalia.

The police have stated that the coroner determined that Ray’s cause of death was a result of combined drug poisoning.

The preliminary hearing for Hanson is set to take place at 10:10 a.m. on February 4th, with District Judge Lewis Stoughton presiding.
