1. Alumni Forum

Attention Derry Area High School Juniors:

Please join us on Tuesday, May 24th during 1st and 2nd period in the Audion for Derry Area High School’s 2022 Alumni Forum.  Former Derry Area High School students will answer questions about the college admissions process, academics, and college life. 

Featured speakers are Leah Perry, Alisha Mauro, David McElfresh, Lissette Foster, and Kelsey Geary.  

Please sign-up with Mrs. Welty in room F321 by Friday, May 20th.   You will not be excused from class unless you sign-up.  

2. Baseball Loses Season Finale

Indiana Area defeated the Derry Area Trojans 13-2 on Friday afternoon closing out the regular season for both teams.

IA scored four times in the first inning, six more times in the second and three tallies in the fourth to send the game into the mercy rule.

DA scored single runs in the second and third for its two runs.

The Trojan defense struggled again Friday with six errors on the day leading to ten unearned runs.

Sophomore Colin Bush had the only RBI on a single and fellow sophomore Brady Angus singled and would later score on a wild pitch for the Trojans final run of the afternoon.

Ashton Beighley, Nick Thomas and Jonathan Hugus had the other hits in the game for DA.
Indiana pounded out eight hits.

Nate Papuga took the loss and Roman Fridley and Jake Watson pitched in relief.

DA now (11-6) will face New Brighton in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs on Tuesday at Highlands H.S. at 4:30 PM.

Tweeted Davidson College as Curry only needed to complete one semester of coursework to complete his degree. He matriculated at the college in 2006 and quickly made a name for himself playing for the Davidson Wildcats, before opting out of his senior year and being drafted by the Golden State Warriors.
