No Injuries Reported as Driver Crashes Solo on Route 119
A driver miraculously emerged unharmed following a single-vehicle accident on Route 119 in Jefferson County on Monday, as reported by Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney.
At around 4:15 p.m., in Henderson Township, an incident took place north of Kramer Road. According to the police, the driver dozed off while navigating a left curve, resulting in the vehicle veering off the road. The vehicle collided with a stop sign and an embankment before finally coming to a stop.
A 2014 Jeep Cherokee was found disabled and had to be towed from the scene of the accident. Fortunately, the driver, a 25-year-old man from Punxsutawney, was wearing his seat belt and did not sustain any injuries. The police observed that the airbags were deployed during the crash, but the driver declined EMS transport.
The scene received assistance from the Big Run Fire Department, Sykesville Ambulance, and Brosius Towing.
