New Year’s Eve

We are in the new year, 2022, so I will be reviewing this New Year’s eve romantic comedy. In my opinion, I usually cover good movies, or movies I would very much recommend watching… but this movie, not so much.

The film was made on 2011, and the release date was December 5th. It’s directed by Garry Marshall, written by Katherine Fugate, and production companies being: New Line Cinema, Wayne Rice Films, and Karz Entertainment. The movie’s Runtime is 1hr 58m and you can watch it on Apple TV or YouTube for $2.99.

It’s cool seeing many celebrities in the film that in this movie, but there just isn’t enough time to empathize with any of them. There are a lot of cast members: Zac Efron, Ludacris, Seth Meyers, Halle Berry and Ashton Kutcher – just to name a few. It’s New Year’s Eve in New York, where the lives of several people intertwine. Since it tries to be a romance and a comedy, it is hard to balance both aspects in the movie and fails to do either.

The film isn’t horribly bad and it won’t rot out your brain if you watch it, but I wouldn’t recommend watching it because although it is a film, it barely lives up to that title as a romantic comedy.

I guess overall, you can New Year’s leave this one off your watchlist.
